Job Description: GlobeDock is seeking a Part-Time Junior Full Stack Developer who is passionate about technology and education. This position involves working closely with our development team to build and maintain our online educational platform. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, and be eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of web applications.
  2. Collaborate with the development team to design, implement, and maintain new features.
  3. Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  4. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  5. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  6. Troubleshoot and debug applications.
  7. Maintain accurate documentation of code and development processes.
  8. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.


Ideal Candidate Should:

  1. Have a passion for technology and education.
  2. Possess a solid understanding of front-end and back-end web development.
  3. Be proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and one or more back-end languages (e.g., Python, Java, PHP).
  4. Have experience with database management (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  5. Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Be capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  7. Show a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  8. Have excellent communication skills in both English and Amharic.
  9. Assist in the integration and customization of ERP systems within our platform.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (University students may also apply).
  2. 0 to 2 years of work experience in web development.
  3. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  4. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  5. Self-motivated, honest, highly responsible, and punctual.
  6. Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  7. Have some understanding of ERP systems and their integration.
