Job Description

GlobeDock seeks a Part-Time English Teacher passionate about teaching and impacting student outcomes. This position requires creating digital video content and active teaching, lesson planning, and student engagement. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and capable of teaching and explaining concepts.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and deliver tailored lesson plans focused on Duolingo English Test preparation.
  2. Provide individualized guidance to students, helping them master test strategies, improve language skills, and boost their confidence of DET(Duolingo English Test).
  3. Develop and curate educational materials that align with the Duolingo English Test format.
  4. Facilitate engaging and interactive online learning sessions that cater to a variety of learning styles.
  5. Stay updated with the latest trends and updates in English proficiency testing.


Requirements:

  1. Minimum bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (University students may also apply).
  2. Exceptional English communication skills, with a focus on spoken fluency; proficiency in Amharic is a plus.
  3. Proven ability to create a positive and productive online learning environment.
  4. Self-motivated, reliable, and committed to helping students achieve the best results in English Tests.


Preferred Qualifications:

  1. SAT, Duolingo English Test, TOEFL certification
  2. Familiarity with the Duolingo English Test structure and scoring.
  3. Experience teaching for the English Exams is a plus.
